Rural Studio: An Architecture of Decency, with Professor Jason Coomes
The Mineral Point Press is pleased to announce a special speaking engagement at the historic Mineral Point Opera House in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, Saturday, June 7, 2008, from 2-4. Professor Jason Coomes of Rural Studio, based in Newbern, Alabama, will hold a lecture and Q & A session on the legacy of Samuel Mockbee and an Architecture of Decency.
The Rural Studio is a design and build architecture studio run by Auburn University which teaches its students about the social responsibilities of the profession of architecture while also providing safe, well-constructed and inspirational homes and buildings.
